My Life, My Rules! is not an album about a hero. It is the record of a person who learned early to read emotions, steer closeness and confuse control with safety — and who later has to face what those abilities can do.
Across 16 songs, ST3V3N tells of relationships, affairs, family, desire, guilt, manipulation, responsibility and the attempt to break out of a once-learned system without pretending it can simply be switched off.
The album does not soften this.
At the center is the same question again and again: Is care less real if it has to be learned?
Musically and lyrically, a dense network of recurring images runs through the album.
My Life, My Rules! is therefore less a story about redemption than about responsibility.
In the end there is no clean moral and no comfortable happy ending.
